"You see, that is it about music, you never stop learning"

About me: |
Why I am doing this: |
I have always loved music ever since I started learning it in middle school.
Music is a place where I can escape reality and enter a new world while playing. I am dedicated to learning this new instrument and am excited to bring you along with me. Background with music:I started learning music in the fall of my 6th grade year in school and haven't looked back since.
I started playing the alto saxophone in the spring of 7th grade year, and the tenor saxophone in the summer of my 8th grade year. I have been loving and playing both, but not until recently I bought a keyboard and have been wanting to learn it ever since. I have been in camps during the summertime's, Institutes to study jazz, and bands around the state to play jazz with others as well. |
I am doing a genius hour project for my English class, and I decided to take this opportunity to branch off more into the language of music by learning a new instrument.
How I am going to do this:Every Tuesday and Friday of every week, I am going to submit progress of my ability to play and learn the keyboard.
And every 2 weeks, I will play a piece of music that I have picked out to see if I have progressed. I will also have my Jazz teacher to guide me along this journey as well. |
